Mr. Tom Fritz

Tom Fritz is the executive director of Connect Ohio, a division of Connected Nation, Inc. Tom is responsible for the implementation of the Connect Ohio broadband deployment project to see that all Ohioans have access to reliable and affordable high-speed Internet. The comprehensive broadband deployment and adoption plan includes leveraging state, federal and private investment aimed at blanketing Ohio with high-speed Internet access, as well as improving the use of technology and the Internet.

Prior to joining Connect Ohio, Tom launched independent businesses in the service, development, and real estate sectors, and served as president of Micro Center Computer Stores, where he developed marketing, sourcing, and management strategies producing more than $600 million in computer product sales annually. Tom brings multiple skills to the Connect Ohio organization to further implement the goals set forth by Governor Ted Strickland.

In addition to his professional efforts, Tom is affiliated with business and community organizations including service on the commercial membership subcommittee of the Columbus Board of Realtors, as trustee of Dublin Christian Church, and as vice chairman of the board of directors for Lifeline Christian Mission.
